About Me: A Journey Toward Truth and Clarity

Image
I have been a Christian for as long as I can remember. The church has always been a central part of my life—serving, leading, raising my family in it, and being deeply involved in community. For many years, I believed I understood what healthy church life looked like. Then everything slowed down. During a season where much of normal church life was stripped away, I found myself seeking God in a quieter, more intentional way. Without all the activity, I began to notice things I hadn’t fully seen before—not just around me, but in my own understanding of faith, church, and truth. That season led me to ask deeper questions. I began looking more carefully at Scripture—not just through what I had been taught, but in its context. I started paying closer attention to what aligns with the character of Christ and what doesn’t. Over time, things that once felt normal became harder to reconcile. This wasn’t a quick realization. It was slow, prayerful, and often difficult. Eventually, I made the de...

I Thought I Was Careful

I used to think that being careful would be enough. I paid attention. I asked questions. I wanted my faith to be grounded in Scripture, not just in what I was told. I didn’t rush into trust easily—I tried to move slowly, thoughtfully, and with discernment. Questions didn’t always lead to clarity. At times, it felt difficult to sort through things honestly. There was a growing sense that certain concerns didn’t have space to be fully explored, and I found myself unsure of what I was allowed to wr...

At first, it was simply a place to process— to put words to questions that began to surface as I wrestled with faith, church, and what I was seeing around me. But over time, this space has grown into something more. This blog now reflects a desire to think carefully about the gospel, to study Scripture in its proper context, and to pursue truth with clarity and conviction. Not just what is commonly taught—but what is actually rooted in the Word. I care deeply about handling Scripture faithfully. About slowing down enough to understand what it truly says. About testing teachings, practices, and experiences against the authority of Scripture. That process has not always been easy. It has meant rethinking things I once accepted. It has meant recognizing where confusion, emotionalism, or misplaced authority can distort what is true. And at times, it has meant naming patterns that can be harmful within church environments—without pointing to ...
