Rooted in Jesus Grace

In many contemporary churches, two messages about comfort and healing circulate side by side. Both use tender language about God’s compassion, both appeal to people’s pain, and both promise restoration. Yet at their core, they are not the same message. One is the biblical good news of the God who dwells with the lowly — the Holy One who enters human suffering to redeem and transform it. The other is the modern idea of inner healing — a therapeutic spirituality that turns faith inward, treating Jesus as a facilitator of emotional repair. They may share vocabulary, but they are built on different foundations, follow different logics, and lead to different destinations.
